Last updated October 1, 2026. These are the rules for using Pin My Parks.

Who can use the site

You must be at least 16 to have an account. The site is not for children.

If we learn an account belongs to someone under 13, we close it and delete what that account posted.

Your stays

You keep ownership of the text and photos you add.

A private stay is stored so you can see it. We do not display it to anyone else, and we do not use private stays to train a model.

A public stay

Choosing public gives Pin My Parks permission to host, copy, show, and make small preview images of that stay's text and photos, so the site can run. The permission is free, it is not exclusive, and it covers the world, for as long as the stay stays public.

That permission to show the stay ends when you make it private or delete it. A few copies can remain after that: a photo link we already handed out, which lasts at most 10 minutes; an encrypted backup until that backup ages out; a copy another person already saved; and a search engine, which may keep a page until it visits again. We do not control those copies. We do not put photo files on a public cache.

Public reviews are not open yet. The control is on the form so you can see it, and saving a public stay is refused.

Other people's information

Do not post someone else's private information. That includes a license plate, a child's face, or a note that identifies a person who did not agree to be named. We can take a public stay down when that happens.

The campground list

Park names, campground names, and map points are facts the site lists. They are not something an account owns. A campground page does not copy a park brochure.

Copyright

Send a copyright notice to the designated agent below. Include the address of the stay on this site, a statement that you believe the use is not allowed, and your signature. We take that stay off public view while we look, and we send the notice to the account that posted it. A counter-notice can put the stay back if the law's conditions are met and the person who complained does not file a lawsuit in the waiting period. Three valid takedowns close the account.
